Introduction

HOW TO REGISTER A SOCIETY IN INDIA?

To register a society in India, you must file an application with the Registrar of Societies (ROS) in your state.

• Memorandum of Association (MOA): The MOA is a document that sets out the name, objectives, and rules of the society.

• Rules and Regulations: The rules and regulations of the society must be consistent with the MOA and must provide for the management and administration of the society.

• List of members: A list of the names and addresses of all the members of the society must be attached to the application.

Once the application is filed, the Registrar of Society will review it and may ask for clarifications or additional documents. If the application is approved, the ROS will issue a certificate of registration to the society.
